This is called a plank exercise. Sit-up and crunch style exercises can get you ripped abs but there can still be a pouch or muffin top, especially when you’re sitting down. This plank style exercise works the transverse abdominal which actually elongates and flattens your abs.
These exercises tone and build muscles. The bigger the muscle, the more calories and fat it can burn. Combine these toning exercises with fat-burning cardio activities for best results!
