Is working on the abs the same day as running optimal? Or with which muscle-group should you do abs if you work out 5 days a week?

Its ok, not sure your goals.. if your building mass, avoid anything over 20 min of cardio a day.
Also make sure your using split routines etc, if working out 5 days a week. You can add abs in with any muscle group..

Yes!
Do your cardio after you train your muscles. When I work my ab’s I also work my legs that day. I will mix it all up in about another 2 months or so.
Keep at it! Hope you achieve whatever goal it is you are trying to reach.
