@zdo5p – it very much depends on you. I probably would go quite a bit lighter but do a lot of sets like 6+ and high reps like 15+ per exercise for each body part. You should maintain what you have and if you eat right you can even lose a bit more body fat to look awesome. Baz

@Jack4liverpool – Well that is a wonderful compliment. Baz

@BazBlog Okay thanks, and you could say I envy your knowledge of weight training.

@Jack4liverpool – I am green with envy you on holiday. We all carry fat on the lower part of the abs and all you can do is to lose a little more body fat. There actually is not really an exercise you can do apart from the normal ones you are doing. If you look at some of Arnold’s pics you will be surprised he had a awesome 4 pack but almost nothing lower down. Quite surprising. If the top 4 are fantastic then you will not have to worry about the lower. Baz

Baz, thanks for the videos. I’m currently in Florida and having a great time but also keeping up training thanks to your videos. I only have one question, do you know any methods of training specifically the lower abs, it’s just that I’ve got great upper and middle abs now but my lower abs are letting me down slightly? Thanks

@alexrockclimber- yes you could be tensing up and that is why that is happening. You could try putting a back pack on your back and then do like 5/6 sets of 15 or so reps so you are really having to push hard to get up. That should stop you transfering the pressure to your neck. Baz

sometimes while doing crunches my neck tenses up as if im putting most of the work onto my neck. Is this normal or am i doing them wrong. It’ normally starts around the 50 mark.

@juned6o6 – that certainly sounds like a good thing to consider and there is merit in what you say. I do it this way as that is the way I was first taught many years ago and it is the way Arnold showes in one of his books. I have never found I have had a problem doing it this way and it certainly makes it easy when I want to go extra with a weight behind my head. Baz

hi baz, just a little tip to tell you if you dont mind but you shouldnt really put your hands behind your neck as it strains your kneck more so i just cross my arms across my chest, and i agree that scotland is a great place, and great video!

@joshierox- yes that is a problem lol so what you can do is train with just your own body weight. Pull ups against a door, sit ups, bulgarian split squats without weight, press ups and calf raises. There is loads you can do it you are serious about having a awesome body. Baz

@BazBlog haha i know what you mean but bring a dumbell on a plane? thats gotta take up some room,
June 29th, 2010 at 6:08 am
@joshierox – only people who care about themselves and who are trying to be the best they can be. We certainly do not stop eating and breathing because we are on holiday. If we take care of ourselves in those departments why not in other areas. You go on holiday to rejuvenate not to damage yourself further. Only an idiot would do that. However there are lots of people who do not take care of themselves and that is their choice. Baz

lol, who the fuck brings dumbells on holiday?
June 29th, 2010 at 6:44 am
@SecretAsianMan09- Yes you can train with limited equipment if you are really keen to train so well done that you are training without too much stuff. Baz
June 29th, 2010 at 7:10 am
Thanks for showing at home stuff that uses limited equipment, because I live pretty far out and I don’t really have the money to buy some of the more expensive stuff.

June 29th, 2010 at 7:21 am
Yes that is a great way to train. It really is up to you what you believe will work best for you. Baz

I have a question baz, instead of situps, i prefer leg raises and especially bicycles.
Is this a good alternative?
June 29th, 2010 at 8:22 am
Thank you. Pal I am not a 100% sure if going all the way down is the answer for everyone. It could agrivate back problems if you have that tendency. I have read a lot about it. Some say yes and some say no. I think you should go as far as you feel comfortable and no further. I would not force it becasue I think I am doing better. I also would not just do these. Crunches are a really good exercise too. I alternate leg raises some situps and now more crunches. Baz
June 29th, 2010 at 8:47 am
Good technique for the abs with weight at chest and neck baz. I just started weight lighting I knew sit ups were the right direction to go. The Dumbbell holding your feet great idea.
Is going all the way down with your back necessary with a sit up?
