Every spring brings that time: time to open your above ground pool for the swimming season of summer. It has been a cold, hard winter, and it feels like so long ago that your pool was open and the water was glistening. This easy guide will get your above ground pool open and going in no time at all.
1. Start by siphoning off any water that may be collected atop your cover of the pool. if you plan to use an electric suck pump, it is best to put a plastic frisbee or similar item between the pump and the cover.
2. Carefully remove any twigs and other debris from the top of the cover.
3. Disconnect and take off the cover cable from the ratchet.
4. Take off any cover clips and water tubes.
5. Take Off the cover slowly. Be careful not to let any debris that is on top of the cover fall into the pool as you slip off the cover.
6. Take off the pillow by detaching its string. Deflate the pillow.
7. Take out any leaves and sticks or other debris from the pool with a skimmer or a leaf net.
8. Expect the water level to be low. This occurs due to ice, evaporation, and water displacement.
9. The water level may be low. Add more. It is imperative that the water level be at half-skimmer. This will be the water level to maintain throughout the pool season.
10. Check your skimmer, pump, and filter to make sure that they are in proper working condition.
11. Install the pump onto its base. Fasten it with two pump mounting screws.
12. Attach the ground wire to the pump.
13. Put the filter onto the base.
14. Check to be sure that all rubber o-rings are well-lubricated and not worn out.
15. Tightly attach the connector between the filter and the pump.
16. Securely connect the filter hose from the skimmer to the pump.
17. If you will be using a chlorinator, attach the return hose from the filter to the chlorinator. Then, connect the return hose to the outlet.
18. Make sure that all hose clamps are securely attached.
19. Be certain that the lid cover on the pump is secured tightly.
20. Use the removal tool to remove the winter plug from the return fitting. Then take off the aquadoor, or ice-plate, from the skimmer.
21. Be sure that all the screws on the skimmer are secure.
22. Attach the eyeball return fitting. Be certain that the fitting parts are all assembled before installing. Once they are installed, remember to point the fitting at a downward angle.
23. Attach the skimmer weir and skimmer basket.
24. If your pool if in or against a deck, insert the ladder into the flanges on the deck’s surface. If your pool does not have a deck, install an A-frame ladder. If you plan to use drop-in stairs, first put sandbags into the stair unit, then put the stairs into the water until they are fully submerged. Insert the handrail into the flange of the deck or stairs.
25. Make sure that each electrical connection is grounded.
26. Power on the filter system.
27. If you use a DE filter, insert the necessary amount of DE. Expect to ‘bump’ your filter several times during the first 24 hours of usage.
28. If you have a cartridge filter, make sure to install the filter cartridge.
29. If you use a sand filter, be certain to install the drain plug into the tank. Be sure to properly fill your filter with filter sand. You should replace the filter sand at least every two years.
30. Backwash the filter.
31. Power the pump off.
32. Turn the the handle of the valve to the position marked ‘filter’ and turn the pump on.
33. Don’t vacuum your pool for at least 24 hours.
Now you are done. You may now swim in the pool. Have fun and enjoy the water.

Before you can buy contact lenses, or specs either for that matter, you will need to submit yourself to an eye test. However, the eye test for contact lenses is a bit more detailed than a test for regular glasses, so you should tell the optometrist which sort of lens you want before the test starts in order to save time.
An eye test will normally start with a physical examination of your eyes for signs of eye disease such as cataracts and glaucoma or general worries such as high blood pressure or diabetes. This is why it is so vital to have an eye test at least every two years, because a medical doctor does not give routine checks for cataracts, diabetes or glaucoma, the three of which can make you blind.
Your optometrist might ask other questions as well such as why you would prefer to have contact lenses rather than glasses and whether you have had any trouble with your eyes. The decision to wear contact lenses or specs is entirely yours, although in some countries specs might be free whereas there may be a charge for contact lenses because they are more expensive.
The results of the optometrist’s test will produce a set of numbers which will tell an optician the strength of the lens required for each eye as the lens needed for each eye is normally different. This is commonly referred to as your prescription. Then you take this prescription to an optician to select your spectacle frames, if you are having spectacles, and to have your lenses manufactured or and fitted.
In the case of specs, lenses will either have to be cut or and adjusted for the frames that you want and in the case of contact lenses, you might have to have the lenses manufactured. In either case, you might be lucky enough to walk out of the shop wearing your glasses or contacts or you may have to return in a few hours or even a couple days. No optician worth his salt will sell you expensive lenses without a prescription.
There is an clear vital difference between spectacles and contact lenses – contacts have to make contact with your eyeballs and not all eyeballs are exactly the same shape. Therefore, if you would like contacts, the optometrist will have to measure the exact curvature or the exact shape of your eyes and this will become part of your prescription. Some eyes are naturally drier than others and this can affect the type of contact lenses that you should buy.
Your optician will then often give you a pair of trial contact lenses and ask you to return a few days later for further tests. You may have to wear several kinds of contacts before you find a kind or make that suits your particular eyes and sight.
Once you have contacts that seem to suit, you will have to follow the directions and advice that comes with them and return for your check-ups when you are asked to. These follow-ups are important to make sure that the contact lenses are not irritating your eyes or causing more serious conditions.

Sleepwalking or somnambulance is a bizarre sleep disorder that affects up to fourteen percent of children at some time before they are teenagers. Around a quarter of them will experience more than one episode of sleepwalking. For some reason, more boys than girls sleepwalk but most somnambulists grow out of the problem before they become teenagers.
Sleepwalking is in fact a brain disorder as well as a sleep disorder, but it is a brain disorder of the nervous system which normally corrects itself as the sufferer matures. By way of explanation, usually, when people wake up, the whole body and whole brain wake up together, whereas with sleepwalkers, the mobility part of the brain and the body wakes up, but the cognitive/awareness part of the brain remains sleeping, at least for a while.
At least that is one clarification, because as with so many items to do with the brain, no one really knows, all that can be agreed by everyone, is that the child is still in a deep sleep when it is wandering around.
Whilst the child is wandering around, the eyes are open, but the face seems extraordinarily impassive. The child can see but still trips or stumbles and still bumps into items. Normally, the child will not pay attention to a conversation or react to hearing its name.
The most common time for an bout of sleepwalking to take place is within the first two hours of sleep. The periods of somnambulance normally last from fifteen minutes to two hours and the sleepwalker might get dressed and go outside.
Although it is wise to bring this condition to your doctor’s attention, no remedy is normally necessary other than putting better security on all external doors and locking windows at low level to thwart the child from leaving the house.
They normally grow out of sleepwalking sooner or later. If you child sleepwalks, all you should do is lead it back to bed without waking it up needlessly. It is not risky to wake up a sleepwalker, but not necessary either.
Roughly one percent of adults sleepwalk as well, and this one percent are not inevitably the ones who sleepwalked as children. Adult sleepwalking usually has other more mundane causes such as stress, worry and insomnia or even some medical conditions such as epilepsy. When the reason goes away so does the sleepwalking.
Treatments vary considerably relying on the severity of the ‘sleepwalk’. Does the sufferer only go down and sit in the living room or does the sufferer open the door and go outside where there is lots of traffic? Hypnotism is one treatment.
There are other safety measures that people living with sleepwalkers can or perhaps should take. Because sleepwalkers are prone to bumping into items, make certain there is nothing projecting anywhere that could poke them in the eye. Hang bells or wind chimes in places where they tend to go and on doors that they use in order to alert you that they are on the move.
Lock certain doors with deadbolts and take the key out and finally make sure that all low-level glass is toughed and covered by curtains at night so that they do not try to walk through them without first opening them.

We all understand that we have to get all the vitamins that our body requires in order to function properly, although most of us do not know exactly what they are. We also realize that it is better to get these vitamins and nutrients from our food rather than from tablets or supplements. Regrettably, this is not always possible, so occasionally we have to resort to supplements.
Some individuals resort to supplements because the food that contains the vitamins that they are lacking is difficult to get, difficult to cook or is too costly. This is why the sale of vitamins, nutrients and supplements is such big business, being worth billions of dollars a year.
Supplements come in three different kinds: liquid, tablets and capsules containing liquid or solids. Naturally, it is best to make sure that the supplement dissolves in your system before it passes through you, which is why the liquid form is thought to be the best sort.
However, some people do not like the taste of the liquid, which is where capsules containing liquid come in. They also happen to be the most expensive sort.
Some individuals have a problem swallowing tablets and tablets are the kind that sometimes do not completely dissolve. Before you purchase your supplements there are a couple of items to check.
The first is to find out what the ‘recommended daily amount’ (RDA) of each vitamin and mineral is in your country. I say ‘in your country’ because not each country recommends the same quantities.
Then check the country of origin of the supplements. There are some countries I would not trust, but that is your choice. It is worth being aware of though. It is pointless taking a higher dose than the RDA unless your GP tells you to.
It is also not actually worth taking a great deal less unless you are truly only supplementing the vitamins in your standard food intake.
While you have worked out your needs you could go down to your local health food store to find the names and prices of manufacturers that can fulfill your requirements.
Then go back home and check Amazon and eBay for prices of the same items. Shopping for supplements in this way can save you more than 50% on High Street shop prices.
If you are having difficulty working out which vitamins you ought to be taking enquire of your doctor as your age, sex, degree of fitness and health can all affect your needs. One thing you should never do though is attempt to replace food with supplements.
You require both or rather you should take your vitamins in your food if at all possible. Vitamin supplements are just that – supplements to food, not replacements for it. Some minerals such as essential fatty acids like Omega 3 do not have an RDA in every country, so you should take private advice on these essential fatty acids especially DHA and EPA long chain essential fatty acids from fish oil.
Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on a number of subjects, and is now concerned with omega 6 and omega 3. If you want to know more, please go to our site at Omega 6 9

Modern life is hectic and with it comes varying levels of stress that affect the well-being of people’s bodies. Being able to have a Las Vegas Chiropractor manipulation to relieve these various aches and pains is very beneficial to one’s overall well-being.
Methods employed and methodology behind chiropractic thinking is that in order to not suffer from unnecessary discomfort a person should keep their skeletal structure correctly aligned at all times. This enables natural healing powers in a body to flow easily and reach all areas. Any area that is misaligned could block this flow and this may lead to a person experiencing muscular knotting and spasms.
Gentle massage and manipulation is encouraged to realign and relieve pinched nerves or other related problems. The spine is the rod and directly and indirectly is attached to all other bones in the body.
If the spine is misaligned vertebrae tend to move and cause pain and discomfort through a nerve pinched and muscles trying to over compensate and going into spasms. With age joints wear and bone cushions compact which all leads to a skeletal frame continually trying to counter balance the resulting misalignment.
Keeping these joint fittings and cushion areas open for a body’s own inner healing energies to have easy access keeps the frame supple and the entire body able to move with ease. Having these manipulations on a regular basis is considered by many people to be greatly beneficial to a person’s overall general well being.
An injury caused by a fall or lifting a heavy object can be improved using chiropractic methods. Once the swelling has dissipated gentle maneuvering and repositioning of the injured area will release any muscular tightness and spasms to allow bones to settle back into their correct line once again.
This is a non-invasive method of pain relief and consulting a Las Vegas Chiropractor may just be what the doctor ordered.
Discover how Chiropractic therapy administered by the best Chiropractor Las Vegas NV can help relieve stress on the skeletal frame now in our super overview of everything you need to know about how and where to find a top Chiropractor in Las Vegas

36 months ago, I started penning a fiction for tweens, Belle in the Slouch Hat. This is a story about a young girl who seeks revenge after her brother was killed while in the Civil War. I purposely started the tale for my grandchildren; and I needed something to fill an emptiness in me due to the loss of my much loved mother, and another special woman in my life. They died within two months of one another.
Any time someone we love dies, we will need to grieve; there is no way to avoid it. Everyone must experience the sorrow and heartache in their own way. My method was writing.
Immediately after losing those I cherished, it felt as though something was blocking my suffering and safeguarding me through the cruelty and depression in connection with death. To this day, there’s no doubt that ıt had been the Holy Spirit helping me through one of the difficult times during my life. You many decide to call it something different, but I believe it was the Holy Spirit. Shortly after that after that, the reality of the deaths set in and I had no choice but to undergo the next phase of losing someone you cherish, the grieving process.
At the age of sixty-one, I sat at my computer; I began to write, and I started to get better. I started out writing a novel but without the full knowledge of what I was stepping into. I didn’t stop to take into consideration the volume of hours which I would so willingly give to it, nor did I stop to think there was a correct way of doing it, all I know was I had to write. Sometimes it was down-right physically, mentally, and emotionally painful; other times, I felt drained of every once of energy in my body. Occasionally, my sense of meaning and my most treasured beliefs about life were challenged.
There seemed to be no schedule for when I needed to finish; and no one could influence to me when it might be finished. It required lots of time; not just a day, not only a month, not one year, but two full years.
Excepting the initial three pages of my book, I did not produce an order, or a plot ot follow, I just needed to write. I even built a imaginary barrier around me and didn’t want anyone to realize just what I was writing, except my hubby.
The more often I wrote, the more I desired to write. Writing gave me an outlet to cry, to laugh, and have a journey. Unknowingly, I had formed my own support group with the individuals in my story. For me, it had become a secure place to express my feelings and process my grief. I also found the best way for me to appreciate those I lost.
Just go to “Belle in the Slouch Hat” for more info found on recommended fiction for tweens. To receive help with methods to increase website traffic point your browser at Clickadvantage.

Almost every day, there is something in the news about the obesity crisis and the fact that our children are not eating enough fruit and vegetables. For us as adults, it is difficult enough to make the right dietary choices and to choose the healthy option – and we are able to understand the reasons why we should do so. It must be very hard for your people to say ‘no’ to the fast food choices and the pressure put on them from other youngsters and make the change to a more healthy way of eating. It may not sound like a big step, but believe me, a home smoothie maker can be a real blessing in achieving a preference for the healthy option as smoothies are a delicious drink that everyone will enjoy.
If your children descend on your kitchen at the end of their school day, ravenous and wanting the fastest possible snack to stoke up again to keep them going until supper time, you need some help if you are going to get them to choose a healthy option. If you want to divert them from crisps, cakes and biscuits and onto a more nutritious snack, it is going to have to be something that is speedy and delicious and that is where you win on both counts with a home smoothie maker. A delicious smoothie can be made in a few seconds and your children can even help to make their favourite recipe and get a delicious and nutritious smoothie in no time flat!
Fruit juice is enjoyed by just about everyone, all children seem to love it. By giving them fruit juice instead of a soda, you know they are getting all the vitamins from the fruit. It does not matter how fresh the juice is though, it does not contain all the goodness of the fruit as so much of this is left behind in the juicer to be disposed of.
The whole fruit goodness in smoothies provides us with vitamins, minerals, essential fibre and antioxidants. However, smoothies bought pre-prepared from supermarkets, will be prohibitively expensive if bought regularly. Making them at home in a smoothie maker will save you a great deal of money – even if you have to buy a smoothie maker initially, you will very soon cover the initial purchase price with the savings that you make.
Insoluble fibre is vital and consuming insufficient in our daily diets could have serious effects on our health. Initially this may only be the problem of constipation and perhaps the discomfort of developing piles (haemorrhoids). In the long term, we may be storing up much more serious problems for ourselves by becoming more prone to very serious diseases such as cancer of the colon or bowel.
If you find that you suffer from that ‘slump’ of energy in the middle of the afternoon when all you really want is something sweet as a ‘pick me up’, then the soluble fibre in a smoothie will really help. It has a regulating effect on blood sugar levels and also has a lowering effect on cholesterol levels.
A smoothie maker probably does not sound like a valuable weapon in the war against unhealthy eating. By making good, healthy food taste so delicious and therefore making it popular and eaten without any fuss or bother, even by the pickiest children, we are going to be setting them on the path to eating more healthily and we can all avoid some of the major medical problems that cause so much distress and heartache in later life.
