Have you ever tried counting the number of women engaged in a fitness training program at any park? To see women of all ages, sizes and in their assorted fitness gear is part of the scenario, too.

What this simple event has taught us is that we’re a mass of fitness wannabes, whether newbie or pro, who have different goals, train at different fitness levels and go at different capacities. And though we don’t know each other, we are connected with one goal. That is, to be fit and healthy.

It’s this purpose that motivates our members to commit to their sessions even if they are busy at work or with other commitments. It’s that same determination that makes us want to eat right and strengthen our core to perform better. And it’s this eagerness that helps us inspire others.

With a good outdoor fitness training program for women, we can make strong women, stronger. The adage that reflects women as the weaker sex is just like that — a saying — no veracity, no truth. The ability to cope with different commitments – family, work, health, friends, etc. — is such a remarkable trait that the whole women community should be proud of. It’s a reflection of strength, skill and competence.

As we ponder on what we have accomplished this week, let this article inspire you to keep up the good work and share your experience with the ones you care about. Outdoor fitness training program for women is a passion to live our lives to the fullest. Best of all, it is an elemental pursuit that only you and your environment can get the picture.

Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) July 16, 2007

With nearly 2/3 of the adult population in the US classified as overweight or obese, it has become a very rare occurrence these days to see virtually anyone with the six pack abs appearance that is so yearned for. Unfortunately, it seems that the masses still go about their quest for a sexy stomach in the least effective manner possible.

The fact is that typical crunches, sit-ups and side bends have almost nothing to do with truly attaining that flat stomach and sexy abs that everybody wants, but most struggle with. It’s true.

According to Mike Geary of Marlton, NJ, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), author of the internationally best-selling e-book, “The Truth about Six Pack Abs” and founder of TruthAboutAbs.com, most people are simply wasting their time with hundreds of crunches, sit-ups and other direct ab exercises while trying to flatten that stomach.

The real secret, says Geary, is in choosing exercises and workout combinations that stimulate the metabolism and give more of a fat-burning hormonal response, in order to more easily strip off the excess belly fat that is covering up those abs.

For losing belly fat to slim down that tummy much faster, Geary prescribes throwing the crunches out the window for the time being, and instead focusing on multi-joint full-body exercises that give you a much better calorie burn and metabolism increase. For example, exercises such as lunges, squats, mountain climbers and other similar exercises are much better for burning belly fat than ab exercises such as crunches or sit-ups.

Here’s an example of how these three exercises can be combined into a time-effective 10-15 minute workout that will blast that excess belly fat off of your abs faster than ever before and can be done right in your own living room:

Example Bodyweight Exercise Circuit

Take note of the time, or start a timer, then repeat the following circuit as many times as possible in 10-15 minutes

1. Bodyweight squats — 8 reps each set

2. Bodyweight lunges — 6 reps with each leg per set

3. Mountain climbers on floor — 30 seconds for each set

Take no rest between exercises in the circuit, and then rest 30 seconds after each rotation through the circuit. Keep repeating the circuit for 10-15 minutes straight. If you’re a beginner that never exercises, just go for only 5 minutes for the first week or two. For everyone else, try starting at 10 minutes for the first week, and slowly work up to 15 minutes of these high intensity circuits thereafter.

For some, a 15 minute workout might not sound like much, but this type of high intensity combination workout is guaranteed to be more effective than the typical waste of time abs machines and ineffective ab exercises. Bye, bye belly fat.

Exercise Descriptions

1. Bodyweight squats — Start with a foot stance slightly wider than shoulder width. Initiate the squat by pushing the hips back, and then squatting down until your thighs are approximately parallel to the ground. Then push yourself back up to the starting position. Important tip: always think about “sitting back” into a squat as opposed to just “squatting down”.

2. Bodyweight Lunges — Step forward with one leg at a time. Take a long enough step so that at the bottom of the lunge, your shin is vertical and your thigh is parallel to the floor. Alternate legs and repeat.

3. Floor mountain climbers — Get down into a pushup position on hands and toes. Quickly start alternating your legs by shuffling your feet in and out. Your knees will come in close to your elbows on each rep. Move swiftly. This is meant to be a fast paced exercise. Keep moving for the recommended time period (30 seconds each set).

This was just an intro to the full body philosophy of fat loss. The Truth about Six Pack Abs manual contains all levels of advancement from beginners to super-studs and bodyweight workouts to gym-based free weight workouts. In addition, the most important portion of the manual deals with nutritional strategies for losing body fat to achieve a low enough body fat percentage for visible abs.

The following page contains a free fat loss & metabolism raising report to help both beginners and advanced fitness buffs break out of their fitness plateau.

Mike Geary is also the founder of the website geared towards busy professionals looking for fast 4-minute dumbbell and bodyweight home workouts.

There are many reasons that fitness training is so important. Besides the obvious fitness training isn’t really that hard. Even getting up and walking around for fifteen minutes or so can do a world of good for those who aren’t necessarily in the greatest shape. There is more to training than do any hardcore aerobics and weightlifting. Simple things can be good for your body as well as your mind.

For example fitness training can do a world of good when it comes to great circulation. If you increase your circulation and get your blood pumping every now and then you can help any heart problems you may have as well prevent them if you don’t have them. This is because it has been shown that even losing a few pounds can lighten the load on your circulatory system and allow your heart some relief. This can easily be achieved by just taking a short walk around the block. Just getting fifteen minutes a day of some activity can greatly impact your life.

Another great advantage to fitness training is that it can relieve a lot of fatigue. This is because it gets your blood pumping and some adrenaline going. While you may think that you are too tired now to move, if you get up and do some exercise you will find that a lot of that afternoon slump will disappear. This once again only requires getting up for a mere fifteen minutes and walking around. If you have to work, take walks on your breaks and you will be surprised at how good you feel and how much more work you can get done. There are even some countries that encourage it, but even if you don’t live in one of those, you surely can take some of your break time to go on a short walk. You’ll be glad you did when you see how refreshed you feel.

One last obvious benefit to fitness training is losing weight. There are many people nowadays that are overweight and looking to lose some of the weight. Whether it is a minor amount of weight to a lot, it’s nothing that a little fitness can’t help. Once again even if you just lose a little weight you will feel better all around. Losing weight can also help improve a number of health problems and should be taken advantage of.

When it comes to fitness training, there really isn’t any good reason not to do it. In fact the advantage far outweigh the disadvantages. Just remember to check with your doctor before starting anything and you will be glad you did.

Are you wasting time performing countless of ab exercises that don’t help you lose belly fat or develop six pack abs? Do you know that some of these abdominal exercises do more harm than good?

Exercise is important. But it’s not the only determining factor in developing ripped or six pack abs. Everyone has abdominal muscles. If they are covered with fat, no amount of ab exercises can get rid of it. If you want to see visible abs, the fat has to go. Nutrition or diet is the key to losing belly fat. Ab exercises only condition the underlying muscles.

Here are 4 abdominal exercises to avoid:

1. Sit-ups

2. Crunches

3. Torso twists or machine-based twisting exercises

4. Machine-based ab exercises

All of these abdominal exercises do not burn belly fat and some of them are even dangerous!

1. Sit-ups

Sit-up is the most popular and yet, the worst abdominal exercise. Why is it so? When performing a sit-up, the ilipsoas muscle often does the majority of the work while the abs are not optimally recruited.

The ilipsoas muscle originates on the lower back. The sit-up pulls on the lower back with each repetition, especially when the feet are held down or anchored, or the repetitions are performed quickly in a jerky manner. Too many sit-ups can result in strength imbalance between ilipsoas muscle and abdominal, poor posture and lower back pain.

2. Crunches

Crunches are another popular ab exercise, but they do not get rid of belly fat or develop six pack abs. Doing too many crunches, too often, can be harmful. Whenever you crunch, spinal flexion causes compression of disks between your veterbrae. Over-crunching can lead to hunch back (poor posture) and herniated disc (lower back pain). This can be compared to someone rounding his back without bending knees when picking up something from the floor, and thus hurting his back.

3. Torso twists or machine-based twisting exercises

Contrary to what many people believe, torso twists, either with stick or machine, and side bends with dumbbells, do not get rid of love handles or burn belly fat. Hence, they are no good for reducing the waistline and are not effective for developing obliques.

4. Machine-based ab exercises

Like any of the above mentioned exercises, you don’t lose belly fat or develop sexy abs by working with ab machines. Typically, machines with grabbing handles on the side or in front of your body for support are ineffective. As you become tired, you tend to use your arms and lower back (prone to injury) to perform the abdominal exercise while leaving out your abs. As the machine stabilizes the body, your stabilizer muscles are not trained to work together with other core muscles. Excessive use of ab machines can lead to strength imbalances and injuries.

Many people who struggle in losing belly fat do not realise they have been misled.
